SSF launches green initiative with plantation drive

UDHAMPUR: The Sarveshwar Smiles Foundation (SSF) executed a large-scale plantation drive to promote environmental sustainability and enhance urban green spaces.
The initiative, part of the national program ‘Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam’ led by the Prime Minister, began in Udhampur district and was launched at Pancheri village by Suraj Parkash Gupta, a prominent figure in the Sarveshwar Group.
The drive reached village Koota, Hiranagar, where approximately 100 indigenous saplings were planted at the High School Ground.

This event saw enthusiastic participation from students, staff, local citizens, NGOs, and environmental advocates. The planting was inaugurated by Dr. Rakesh Gupta, Project Director of SSF, and Mahadeep Singh Jamwal, Director of Sarveshwar Foods Limited, among others. Dr. Gupta emphasized the initiative’s role in combating climate change and fostering a healthier environment for future generations.
He acknowledged the support and motivation from the foundation’s Trustees-Suraj Prakash Gupta, Nidhi Sharma, and Pooja Gupta.
Jamwal highlighted SSF’s commitment to social welfare and environmental sustainability, stressing the foundation’s mission to make a positive societal impact through collaboration and innovation.
The event, organized by Koushal Kumar, Field Supervisor, SSF, also featured a lively performance by local students, underscoring the importance of environmental conservation.
The plantation drive was widely praised by the community, reinforcing SSF’s dedication to enhancing green spaces and fostering environmental stewardship.
