SAMBA: All the contractual employees of Sarva Shiksha Abhiyan (SSA) hold one day pen down strike on Tuesday in the Office of Chief Education Officer Samba for release of orders of enhanced salary which was decided in the 11th Executive Meeting of Sarva Shiksha Abhiyan.
During the strike all the Junior Engineers , Assistant Engineer , Data Entry Operators , Orderlies etc. held strike and later dispersed peacefully.
Rajiv Kumar Vice President of DEOs and APs of District Samba informed that as per the communication received from the State President of J and K Contractual Employees association – SSA Mohd. Shafi Peer the strike is postponed for two days and if the orders of Ujala Society Samba for enhancement of salary is not issued then we will intensify the strike.
The strike was also supported by Employees Joint Action Committee Samba. Others who were present during the strike include Satish Dutta , Rahul Sambyal , Surinder , Ashok, Kuldeep , Munish Sharma, Neelkamal, Gulshan Singh, Amit Singh, Vikas Rana, Iqbal Singh, Renu Digra , Rajiv Kumar and Pritam Chand.
