Sri Sri Ravi Shankar spreads message of peace

JAMMU: The founder of Art of Living, Sri Sri Ravi Shankar spread the message of peace and harmony among the business community and Civil Society.
In his message to members of Chamber of Commerce and Industry (CCI) during his visit to Chamber House, Spiritual Guru Ravi Shankar appreciated the role played by the businessmen towards bringing peace and providing huge employment to the poor people and their contribution in building the nation.
“We should work to eradicate radicalisation of religions in India and live in peace,” he mentioned.
He also thanked business community in maintaining peace during Amarnath Land row.
“Inspite of facing many hardships, the Jammu Trade and Commerce has again stood by the nation,” he said.
Earlier, CCI President Rakesh Gupta welcomed spiritual Guru and praised him for his commitment to spread world peace and work for upliftment of society and for his initiatives to bring peace in J&K in particular.
Rajesh Sharma, Chairman J and K Cooperative Union also extended invitation to Sri Sri Ravi Shankar for visiting the border area of R S Pura which suffer always whenever there is cross border firing, on his next visit.
The session was attended by Speaker J and K State Legislative Assembly Kavinder Gupta, Principal Commissioner of Income Tax J and K Sangeeta Gupta, Chief Electoral Officer Shantmanu and CCI members.
The CCI office bearers present on the occasion were Sham Lal Langer, Senior Vice President, Arun Gupta, Secretary General, Rahul Mahajan, Secretary and Ashu Gupta, Treasurer.
