JAMMU: Annual sports meet for teaching and other administrative staff of the University of Jammu, organised by Campus Sports Committee, got underway at Gymnasium Hall on the campus, here on Tuesday.
Being held under the overall supervision of Chairman Campus Sports Committee, Prof Dhian Singh Bhau, the sports meet is being held in three events of Carrom, Badminton and Table Tennis in both men and women sections.
The competition is officiated by the technical penal including Gagan Kumar, Ankit, Tanveer and Ravish Vaid.
The Detailed Results:
CARROM: Men: Vikas Karlopia beat Raj Kumar Bakshi; Ameet Tagotra defeated Prof PVKS Baba. Women: Dr Madulika Bhagat trounced Dr Savita; Seema Lalotra outplayed Dr Sarita Nayyar.
TABLE TENNIS: Men: Tarsem Singh beat Amit Sharma 2-1 (11-08, 07-11, 11-09). Women: Sarita defeated Dr Seema Lalotra 2-0 (11-09, 11-08).
BADMINTON: Women: Dr Madulika Bhagat beat Dr Seema Lalotra 2-0 (21-15, 21-16). Men: Vikas blanked Dr Sandeep Arya 2-1 (21-19, 17-21, 21-14); Raj Kumar Bakshi downed Ameet Tagotra 2-1 (21-14, 16-21, 21-18)
