Sports festival begins at Kishtwar;Village Matta wins opening tug of war tie

KISHTWAR: Village Matta won the opening tug of war match beating Young Starts Kishtwar by 2-1 in the J and K Police Sports Festival of district Kishtwar which got underway at Chowgan Ground, here.
The event is being held under Civic Action Programme of the J&K Police.
Earlier, the competition was declared open by the Chief Guest, District Development Commissioner (DDC) Kishtwar, Ghulam Nabi Bhalwan while SSP Kishtwar Sandeep Wazir was Guest of Honour.
Speaking on the occasion, SSP said that sports teams from both rural and urban areas of district shall participate in wrestling, kabbadi, volleyball, kho kho, football and Tug of war disciplines.
