JAMMU: Three J&K Roll Ball players namely Rakshak Jandyal, Garvita Gupta and Ankita Chopra were facilitated by the Secretary J and K State Sports Council Waheed-ul-Rehman after they returned home after participating in second Asian Roll Ball Championship which was held at Bangkok, Thailand from 21st to 26 November, 2016.
The men team became Asian Champion after defeating Pakistan in final and girls team was runners-up.
Waheed-ul-Rehman appreciated the effort of the J and K players and assured full support of State Sports Council in promotion of Roll Ball in Jammu and Kashmir.
Others present on the occasion were Abdul Qayoom, Chief Sports Officer, J and K State Sports Council, Rajinder Kumar, Sudhir Singh, Madhu Sharma, Vasu Sharma, Ananya Khajuria and Bhanu Khajuria.
Madhu Sharma was Chief Technical Official during the said championship.
