SRINAGAR: An awareness cum enrollment drive was conducted in Zone Chandoosa. Mohd Ashraf Lone, Zonal Education Planning Officer accompanied by Zonal Resource Team Chandoosa participated in the drive to attract children of the age-group 3-14 years for enrollment in Govt Schools.
The team sought cooperation of parents in admitting their wards in nearby Government schools in order to build a self-sufficient, learned and enlightened society, as Government schools have well qualified, experienced and trained staff. The team further informed people that Govt schools not only provide free textbooks, uniform, education and meals but emphasis is laid on providing quality education.
While interacting with media, Mohd Ashraf Lone said that performance of Govt schools during last few years remained quite satisfactory and results are improving gradually, but declining roll in schools have put a question mark on our credibility. He requested teaching fraternity of Zone Chandoosa to ensure their active participation in the ongoing enrollment drive.
