JAMMU: Minister of State for Transport Sunil Kumar Sharma on Sunday visited Shri Amarnathji Yatra Niwas at Bhagwati Nagar. Interacting with the pilgrims, the minister said the government has made arrangements for plying of buses round-the-clock for the convenience of pilgrims. He said special bus service would also be started for transportation of Yatris for onward journey to cave and return. He also urged upon the private transporters to play their role in this regard. The minister directed the concerned for ensuring adequate number of buses so that the registered pilgrims are transported for onward journey to the Holy Cave and back from the base camps of Pahalgam and Baltal. Chairing a meeting of officers of Transport Department, the minister got appraisal of the arrangements put in place by the department for the transportation of Shri Amarnath Yatris from Jammu. He directed the concerned for opening of counters at various places for the convenience of Yatris.
