JAMMU: Speaker, Legislative Assembly, Kavinder Gupta on Thursday inaugurated a SAAF Toilet Complex at Digiana Ashram constructed at a cost of Rs. 12.20 lakh.
The Toilet complex is constructed and maintained by Lakshya Social Service Organisation.
Commissioner Jammu Municipal Corporation (JMC), Manmohan Singh besides senior officers of JMC and other concerned departments were present on the occasion.
The Speaker said that this complex will facilitate the people and help in maintaining better sanitation in the area.
Speaker said that JMC has successfully launched various campaigns and initiatives to make the winter capital clean. He informed that the corporation has taken in hand the task of identifying new garbage collection points at different locations in addition to existing ones to further intensify the cleanliness campaigns.
Kavinder appealed to the people to rededicate their efforts for making their surroundings neat and clean for hygienic and pollution free environment.
