Spartan Club Anantnag wins Police Martyrs Memorial Volleyball Tournament trophy

ANANTNAG: Spartan volleyball Club Anantnag outplayed DPL Anantnag in the final and lifted the trophy of Police Martyrs Memorial Volleyball Tournament organized by IRP 11th Battalion Headquarters in DPL Anantnag, here on Saturday.
The tournament, dedicated to honour the brave police martyrs, witnessed intense competition among participating teams, reflecting the spirit of camaraderie and resilience within our law enforcement community and the local teams.
Senior police officers, DyCOs of the Bn Sajjad Shah SP, Altaf Ahmed SP, DySPs and prominent citizens of Anantnag and adjoining areas graced the occasion with their presence.
During the ceremony, SSP Sandeep Mehta, CO of IRP 11th Bn expressed gratitude for the exemplary dedication and sacrifice of our police personnel. He said that the event served as a poignant reminder of the sacrifices made by our unsung heroes in the line of duty. The Chief Guest, Sundeep Chakarvarty, SSP Anantnag, while complimenting the efforts of CO IRP 11th Bn in conducting this tournament, exerted that this tournament not only showcased the athletic talents of our police force but also paid homage to those who made the ultimate sacrifice in service to our community. Their memory will forever inspire us to uphold the principles of duty and honor, he added. The ceremony concluded with a heartfelt tribute to the martyred heroes and a commitment to continue organizing such events that not only celebrate sportsmanship but also commemorate the sacrifice of our police martyrs.
G.V Sundeep Chakerverty and Sandeep Mehta awarded medals and trophies to the winners and the runner-up teams. Besides this, the family members of the police martyrs were felicitated and Supporting Sports officials were awarded with mementos. Umer (Captain) of Spartan Club Anantnag was declared as Man of the Match.
