JAMMU: In a bid to strengthen internal functioning and enhance public service delivery, SP City South held an interaction with MSIs, MASIs, and MHCs of South Zone. During the session, SP City South reviewed the maintenance of registers, condition of police lock-ups and Malkhanas, and general preparedness at the Police Station and Police Post level.
All concerned officials were directed to ensure proper maintenance and timely updating of registers, upkeep and cleanliness of lock-ups and Malkhanas, and observance of a polite and friendly approach while dealing with complainants and visitors. SP City South also emphasized adherence to departmental orders, immediate compliance with correspondence, and accountability in day-to-day functioning.
Additionally, as part of the ongoing crackdown against illegal mining under “Operation Ploughing”, Police Post Phallain Mandal seized two JCB machines involved in illegal mining. In another action, one tipper loaded with crushed stone (bajri) was detained at Police Post Belicharana for violation of Form A provisions. The matter has been reported to District Mineral Officer (DMO), Jammu, for further necessary action.
The South Zone Police remains committed to continuing strict action against illegal mining and ensuring transparency and accountability in police functioning.
