SOS Int’l seeks early rehabilitation of PoK refugees

STATE TIMES NEWS
JAMMU: SOS International on Sunday held a rally to reiterate the demand of rehabilitation of PoK refugees here at Rehari.
Addressing the rally, SOS International Chairman, Rajiv Chuni said that talks of vacating PoK (Pakistan occupied Kashmir) is echoing in political and civil corridors of country. “We have been saying that nerve centre between India and Pakistan is PoK, which has been illegally occupied by Pakistan. For the last 7 decades, the Human Rights violation of PoK Refugees is rampant as they left behind all the things which are essential for survival of any individual and nothing haven’t been returned even after exile from their native places. Now, Government is saying to initiate talks over repossession of PoK which is quite a good move but along with vacating PoK from the clutches of Pakistan, Government should think about the rehabilitation of 12 lakh Hindus and Sikhs who have been living their lives under gloom and misery”, he said.
Chuni further said that the issue of PoK refugees is a humane issue and it must be resolved with utmost kindness but till today, none of the Governments has thought about the same. He urged Prime Minister to start the process to vacate PoK to resettle PoK Refugees in their territory with dignity and honour claiming it to be their fundamental right.
