Sonu hero in Singh Club’s huge win Semis line up drawn in Pawan T20

AKHNOOR: Semifinals position has been cleared with the entry of Singh Cricket Club in the last four stages of the ongoing Eighth Pawan Memorial Twenty20 Cricket Tournament at Government Higher Secondary School Ground, here.
Other teams already reached the semifinals included Little Flower School Akhnoor, Tanishta Jammu and Singh Baba Talab. Now, in the semifinals, Singh Cricket Club Akhnoor shall take on Little Flower School Akhnoor on 30th June at 2:00 PM.
Earlier, hosts Singh Cricket Club on Tuesday qualified for the semifinals beating Jandial Warriors in a one-sided game making it an absolute 129 runs victory.
Earlier, Singh Club set a huge total of 250 runs for five wickets, courtesy brilliant century coming from Sonu, who made 107 runs off just 44 deliveries. Sny and Chandan contributed 58 (27) and 37 (27) runs respectively.
For Jandial Warriors, Ishant claimed two wickets while Jonty and Jinder shared apiece each.
In reply, Jandial Warriors could make 121 runs losing all their wickets in 15.2 overs. Aditya (24), Ishant (34) and Ranjit (14) were main contributors to the total. Sonu, who earlier hit a superb century, claimed two wickets. Chandan also bowled well taking away two wickets while Sny, Sham Singh, Sunil and Santu shared apiece each.
For his all round performance, Sonu was named
Man of the Match. Vikas Bali and Dayal Singh were umpires in today’s quarterfinal while Ashwani maintained the scorecard.
