Gandhi expressed hope that the coming year will usher in lasting peace, prosperity and happiness as also strengthen the resolve of every fellow Indian to stand up against inequality, injustice, and oppression with fortitude and spirit of universal brotherhood,” the party said in a statement.
Party Vice President Rahul Gandhi is in Europe.
He had extended his New Year’s wishes to people a few days back before leaving for the foreign destination.
