JAMMU: State Pensioner’s Association criticized the State Government for not solving the problems of the pensioners.
Talking to media persons here on Saturday, General Secretary of All J and K State Pensioner’s Association, Madan Lal Abrol said that the government has not taken serious step regarding qutumn of pension to the retired persons after attaining the age of 80, 85, 90, 95, 100 and above at the rate of 10 per cent, 20 per cent, 40 per cent and 100 per cent which has been given to the pensioners of Central Government in the year 2009.
Installment of Sixth Pay Commission which is pending with the government, have not been released yet, he said adding that DA @10 per cent and 7 per cent also not been released.
Pensioners are ready to defeat NC –Congress coalition leaders in the coming Assembly elections, he said.
He stressed upon the Chief Secretary to release the 17 per cent DA advance, slash fare of the transport and also fix the fare of auto rikshaws.
The association appealed to the all pensioners of the State not to vote to the coalition partners who are befooling them for the last six years.
Mukh Raj Sharma, Ved Prakash, Dev Raj Gupta, S.D Verma, Yash Paul Sasan and Dev Raj Baru were also present in the press conference.
