JAMMU: Society for Prevention of Cancer (SPOC) Bengaluru held conference on ‘Importance of balancing and interconnecting whole body in fight against Cancer’, here on Thursday. Renowned medical experts in the field addressed the conference to help people understand the different ways to deal with disease.
SPOC Trust is brain child of Dr. Nanda Rajaneesh renowned Onco Surgeon of country and which had many leading onco surgeons and oncologists on the board. The conference was started with introduction of Society and and welcome by Trustee Director Sunil Sethi. Conference was addressed by Dr. Monika Pansari, Surgical Oncologist, who spoke on ‘Prevention of Cancer’ in women particularly breast and Gynecological cancer. She discussed about risk factors and treatments in cancer in women and focused on the treatment protocol. She dealt in details the symptoms at early stage to detect the problem at very initial stage. Dr. Vishwanath S, leading Medical Oncologist with Apollo Hospital Banglore spoke about Prevention of lymphoma and multiple Myeloma. He dealt with blood cancer and with his expert insight on the subject extensively dealt with blood cancer and its treatment and prevention. He spoke about modifiable and non modifiable risk factors. Another leading Medical Oncologist, Dr. Rajeev Vijay Kumar Appollo Hospital Banglore talked about prevention of cancer and role of different agencies. He stressed about early detection and support system from govt and different agencies as also NGOs. He talked about holding of camps in rural areas to educate people about problem and advance treatments available and latest developments. He also educated the audience about the role of SPOC to help Society in prevention and treatment of cancer by use of innovative digital technology for Coloscopy and other screenings. Richika, Holistic health coach and neurologist, laid stress on Yogic way of treating Cancer. She talked about integrated approach of Yoga therapy and laid stress on adopting Yogic diet to tune our body to natural ways. She laid stress on vegetable and fruit diets is the key with adopting of Cyclic Meditation and Yoga Assans. Proceedings were conducting with Dr. Jyotsana and Dr. Iaichka Sethi.
