KATRA: Sehar Shakeel Raina M.Sc. Mathematics Second semester student of Shri Mata Vaishno Devi University (SMVDU) has been awarded four prizes in inaugural function of three day National Seminar of Mathematics held in University of Jammu from 14th -16th May 2015. The prizes were given to her for securing first position in Alka Memorial Maths Competition and third position in one day Maths Conference in Under Graduate level in 2013 and second position in Alka Memorial Maths Competition and first position in one day Maths Conference in Post Graduate level in 2014.
All the competitions were conducted by Department of Mathematics University of Jammu in collaboration with Jammu Mathematical Society. The prizes were given by Vice Chancellor of University of Jammu Prof. R. D Sharma in the presence of galaxy of mathematicians from various parts of the country present in the seminar.
Sehar Raina is daughter of Dr. Shakeel Ahmed Raina (Principal GDC Budhal) and Shaheen Ara Raina who wished that their daughter may become an exemplary daughter of the world. They thanked God and her teachers for this success.
