KATRA: Atul Sharma and Neha Badan of Central Office of Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Shrine Board won men and women titles respectively in Chess Championship organized at Shrine Board’s Sports Complex, here on Thursday.
Atul Sharma won the championship in 2 hours and 12 minutes long contest defeating Sanjeev Bali of Sports section pushing him to second place in the final match in 44th move.
In the female section, Neha Badan of Central Office defeated Renu Devi of Sanitation wing in 35th move to win final.
The matches were officiated by Rishi Sharma and Raman Gupta of Youth Services and Sports Department Udhampur.
The championship was organised by the Sports Wing of Shrine Board Katra.
