JAMMU: Students of Faculty of Agriculture, Sher-e-Kashmir University of Agricultural Sciences and Technology of Jammu (SKUAST-J), organised a function on the eve of Freshers’ Day at conference hall of SKUAST-Jammu, Main Campus Chatha.
The function was attended by all the under graduate and post graduate students of SKUAST Jammu. Anzar Wani and Jigmet Angmo of first year were chosen as ‘Mr Fresher’ and ‘Ms Fresher’ respectively whereas talent of the year trophy was awarded to Sanjay Sihag and Shreya Charangoo.
Dr. J.P Sharma, Dean, Faculty of Agriculture, SKUAST-Jammu, presided over the function while Dr. Dileep Kachroo, Dr. S. K Gupta, Dr. Prashant Bakshi, Dr Moni Gupta, Dr Kiran Kour, Dr Sarbdeep Kour, Dr Amit Jasrotia, Dr Akash Sharma and President Teaching Association, Dr. Vikas Sharma were also present.
Dr. J.P Sharma exhorted that such type of functions should be organised from time to time for developing leadership and sense of responsibility among students.
The proceedings of the programme were conducted by the students of BSc (Agri) 2nd year specifically Mehak and Gavneet. Vote of thanks was presented by BSc (Agri) 3rd year students.
