R S PURA: The RS Pura Police on Wednesday arrested six narcotics smugglers with a big consignment of 12 bags of Bhukki from their possession.
On a tip off the SDPO RS Pura laid a police Naka at Kullian and intercepted one oil tanker and one car. During search operation they recovered 12 bags of Bhukki weighing 80 kilogram which these smugglers had to handover to some other smuggler.
The police have arrested six smugglers and hunt for the main smuggler to whom the consignment was to be handed over launched. The arrested smugglers have been identified as Mohd Iqbal Gani son of Abdul Ahad Gani and Nazir Wani son of Mohd Wani resident of Pulwama, Kashmir, Mohd Yosuf son of Gani resident of Kathua, Sunil Kumar alias Sonu son of Fiaja Singh, Sanju Singh son of Naseeb Suingh and Balbir Singh alias Pinku resident of Rajkouri.
The police have also seized the oil tanker bearing Registration No JK02AW-1633 and Alto car No JK02AD-8746. The Police have registered a case at Police Station Miransahib.
