KATHUA: Police on Tuesday foiled a bovine smuggling bid by rescuing six bovines, however smuggler managed to escape from the spot.
Acting on tip off, a team of Police Post Marheen led by SI Vishal Kumar Incharge Police Post Marheen as deputed by Inspector Sarbjeet Andotra SHO Police Station Rajbagh under the direct supervision of Dy.SP Raghubir Singh SDPO Border laid Naka near Banyari area and intercepted one mini truck (JK08B-8605) coming from Punjab towards Kashmir . During checking of the vehicle, police found six bovines laden in it which were rescued but driver of the truck managed to escape. A case vide FIR No 86/2018 under section 188 RPC ,3 PCA Act was registered at Police Station Rajbagh.
