Singh Cricket Club beats Jammu Sports by 3-0 in Dusshera Cup series

AKHNOOR: Singh Cricket Club beat Jammu Sports by eight wickets in the third match and won the Dussehra Cup three match series with 3-0. The series was organized by Singh Cricket Club Akhnoor at Govt Higher Secondary School Akhnoor, here. Batting first, Jammu Sports scored 120 for the loss of five wickets in stipulated 20 overs wherein Sunil Kumar contributed 36 runs, while Pawan Sharma scored 25, Mukesh Sharma made 16 and Koushal added 17 runs. For bowling side, Sham Singh Langeh and Rakesh Dada claimed two wickets, while Sonu Malhotra got one wicket. In reply, Singh Cricket easily managed to chase the target and scored 122 for the loss of two wickets in just 13.3 overs, Jimmy Mani played a fine knock of 78 runs off 54 balls and Chandan Sharma made 23 runs off 18 balls. From Jammu Sports, Love and Bawa claimed one wicket each.
Jimmy Mani was declared as the Man of the Match for his outstanding batting performance. Jimmy was also declared Best Batsman of the series whereas Sham Singh Langeh was declares best bowler of the series.
Vinod Kumar and Rakesh Sharma were the official umpires while Rohit Singh was scorer in the match.
