RS PURA: Simbal Cricket Club (SCC) outplayed its opponent Chouhala Cricket Club (CCC) in the keenly contested final match of the ongoing Kartar Singh Memorial T-20 Cricket Tournament, at Boys High School, Simbal Camp near here on Sunday.
Batting first, after winning the toss, CCC made 65 runs in 15 overs which in reply SCC chased the target in last over of the match by hitting a boundary. Shotu of SCC was declared Man of the Match for his match winning knock of 22 runs who also clinched three crucial wickets.
In the prize distribution ceremony, former Minister Suman Lata Bhagat was the Chief Guest and District Vice President (Rural) of Congress Party, Nirmal Singh Mehta and Senior Advocate and President Jammu and Kashmir High Court Bar Association, M.K Bhardwaj were Guests of Honour.
Chief Guest, after giving away trophies to winner and runner up teams, urged youth to participate in sports activities to maintain their health.
Rattan Lal Khanna along with other prominent persons was also present.
