Sikhs seek Cabinet berth for Charanjeet Khalsa

JAMMU: President, All India Sikh Awareness and Welfare Organisation, Yashpal Singh pleaded the State Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leadership to give representation to Sikh candidate in the ensuing Cabinet formation.
“Sikh Community has always welcomed the policies and programmes of BJP especially under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and All India BJP President Amit Shah and State President Sat Sharma,” he told reporters.
He also appealed to the BJP State chief Sat Sharma and Amit Shah to include the name of Charanjeet Singh Khalsa, MLC in the Council of Ministers to give due representatives to the Sikh community.
Bupinder Singh Khalsa (President All J&K Sikh United Forum), Jagjeet Singh Khalsa (President All J&K Sikh Welfare Society), Surinder Singh (President All J&K Sikh Nojaban Organization), Davinder Singh (General Secretary All J&K Sikh Welfare Society) and Pankaj Pal Singh (Vice-President of All J&K Sikh United Forum) reiterated the same demand.
Meanwhile, International Sikh Awareness Front (INSAF) also held a press conference and demanded elevation of Sikh representative Charanjeet Singh Khalsa in the council of ministers.
Prominent among those present in the conference include Amarjeet Singh, Gurpreet Singh, Nirmal Singh, Gurpurab Singh, Dr Bhupinder Singh, Dr Manpreet Kour, Manjeet Singh, Capt Rajvinder Singh, Master Harbans Singh, Raman Kumar Sharma, I.P Singh and Dr Akashdeep Singh.
