JAMMU: Led by Sikanderpal Singh, the hosts J&K Police shall be playing against SSB in their first group-E league tie in the ongoing 72nd All India Police Hockey Championship, organised by J&K Police under the aegis of All India Police Sports Control Board at K K Hakhu Stadium, here tomorrow.
The match, scheduled at 7.30 in the morning, is equally poised as both the teams have lost at the group stages in the last edition of the championship.
However, the fourth day of the mega event shall witness a couple of interesting matches when defending champion, Punjab Police meet Himachal Pradesh at 2.30 pm and last year’s runners-up, ITBP take on Rajasthan at 12.45 pm.
However, there was hardly any major upset in today’s scheduled league matches as none of the top four teams had any scheduled match.
The Results: Rajasthan Police bt Maharashtra Police 7-2; Karnataka Police bt Himachal Pradesh 4-1; West Bengal Police bt Puducherry Police at 4-1; CRPF bt RPF 11-0; Tamil Nadu Police bt Haryana Police 4-0; SSB bt Uttar Pradesh 2-0.
