JAMMU: The Language Wing of State Institute of Education (SIE), Jammu organised a poetry recitation competition, Mehfil-e-Mushira in Urdu here on Thursday. A total number of ten students hailing from various districts of Jammu Division participated in the event.
The participants were welcomed by S.L Tengloo, Field Advisor of the Language Wing, who explained to the participants in detail the importance of holding such competitions as these develop the oration skills of the students.
The programme was coordinated by Hamida Khatoon, R.O Language Wing. S.K Raina Filed Advisor was also present on the occasion.
Sahkoor Ahmed of Government Higher Secondary School, Reasi, bagged the first prize while Dil Khurshid and Yasir Ali respectively bagged second and third place.
Vote of thanks was presented by Alka Sharma, R.O Language Wing.
