JAMMU: Gita Jayanti is the birthday of Shrimad Bhagvad Gita. The day falls on Shukla Ekadashi of Margashirsha month and this year, it will be celebrated on December 25 (Friday). It is that sacred day when Bhagwan Krishna gave immortal message to Arjuna in Kurukshetra. It was told by Mahant Rohit Shastri, President, Shri Kailakh Jyotish Evim Vedic Sansthan (SKJEVS) Trust in a press statement issued on Monday.
Giving further details, Mahant Rohit Shastri said “People should read Gita daily and go through it for getting inner peace and attaining eternal knowledge. It allows individuals to lead a courageous as well as an active life. There is not an iota of doubt that Bhagvad Gita is supreme in its power to inspire humans to pursue a righteous.”
