Shri Ram Sena celebrates 125th birth anniversary of Justice Mahajan

JAMMU: To mark the 125th birth anniversary of veteran social reformist and well known legal luminary, Justice Mehar Chand Mahajan, rich tributes were paid to the departed soul at a simple but an impressive function organised by Shri Ram Sena (SRS) activists led by its State President Rajiv Mahajan, here this morning at Party headquarter New Rehari.
Shri Ram Sena members garlanded the portrait of Justice Mehar Chand and observed two minutes silence praying for eternal peace to the departed soul.
Rajiv Mahajan said that it was Mehar Chand Mahajan’s genius to become as Prime Minister of Jammu and Kashmir in 1947 during the reign of erstwhile Maharaja Hari Singh. Terming him instrumental in signing the Instrument of Accession, SRS chief said that it was Mahajan’s persuasion to Maharaja Hari Singh who signed up this accession with India. The Government of India then had also nominated him as member of Radcliff Commission which defined the boundaries of India and Pakistan.
Among prominent Shri Ram Sena activists present on the occasion included Ajay Gupta, Bal Krishan Arora, Sanjay Sharma, Sham Kumar, Ram Kumar, Sushil Kumar, Sonu and others.
