JAMMU: State President, Shiv Shakti Sena, J and K, Rakesh Gupta urged upon the State and Central Government to redress the grievances regarding the settlement of claims of Displaced Persons of POK of 1947 in one go and without any further delay.
Talking to reporters, he said much delay has already taken place and they have been suffering for the last about 70 years for want of justice.
In one such case, the Provincial Rehabilitation Officer, Jammu (PRO) has not entertained the case of Subash Chander Bakshi, son of late Tirath Ram, resident of H No 602-A, Janipur Colony, Jammu whose deceased father had migrated from village Champur, Tehsil Kotli, district Mirpur (now in POK) in the year 1947, despite the clear directions from the higher authorities.
