JAMMU: State unit of Shiv Shakti Sena on Sunday staged protest against the Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti for showing soft corner towards militants and their associates.
Led by President, Shiv Shakti Sena, J and K, Rakesh Gupta, the activists assembled at Janipur and burnt the effigy of Chief Minister.
Criticising Mehbooba Mufti for raising issue of grant of compensation to the deceased brother of hard core militant Burhan Wani, Gupta said “It’s pity that just within few days after the Nagrota incident, Mehbooba inspite of paying tributes and announcing compensation for the deceased/ martyrs in the militancy related act, raising demand for grant of compensation for Khalid Wani.
While criticising the Chief Minister, Gupta said on one side Indian Army is fighting bravely with the militants to avoid loss of life and property in the Kashmir Valley by staking at their lives, whereas on the other hand Mehbooba Mufti is demanding compensation for Khalid Wani, brother of Burhan Wani which shows the dual policy to play with the sentiments of the nationalist persons.
Gupta urged upon the Central Government not to grant any kind of compensation for such anti-national elements who have been watering militancy in the Valley. The protestors also paid floral tributes to martyrs of Nagrota incident.
Those who joined the protest include Shiv Deep Gupta, Ashwani Gupta, Sat Pal Sharma, Mahinder Dogra, Kaka, Rahul Gupta and Aman Kumar.
