AKHNOOR: Senior Congress leader and candidate Akhnoor Assembly segment, Sham Lal Sharma said, “Congress as guardian of secular faith and bridge between different regions as well as distinct identities has always worked with sole agenda of strengthening communal fraternity and co-existence, contrary to such political forces that for the sake of power all bent upon to devastate the cultural and social heritages.”
Sham cautioned people of the State to be vigilant from sinister designs and should vote Congress to assert their role as an example of communal brotherhood.
Sham Lal said while addressing several election meetings in Maira Mandrian Zone of Akhnoor.
He said to ensure guaranteed political stability the requisite for State welfare and development, Congress discharged the coalition dharma with sincerity but endorsing AICC, President Sonia Gandhi’s stand that National Conference on major popular issues like food security, shown least interest, thereby denied to the State people its benefit.
Sham appealed to voters to give majority in the newly elected Assembly to provide good governance and he pledged to struggle for next Chief Minister from Jammu, which no other political party may promise.
Sham urged upon voters to adjudge his last 10 years performance during which the entire belt has been developed and made fast emerging business centre.
He revealed for Maira Mandrian belt which has been given Tehsil status, have chalk out plan to develop further as one of the Tourist spot in Jammu region since, Gosan, Nore, Kathar, Mundh and Gharattal and other small villages possessed potential to be tourist resorts.
Sham pledged to work on proposals which will create for them lot of employment awareness.
