Calls for electing BJP Govt to secure future of coming generations

JAMMU: Reiterating his resolve to develop Jammu North constituency on modern lines, senior BJP leader and party candidate, Sham Lal Sharma on Sunday said he will serve the people of this constituency as a vigilant watchman (Chowkidar) on 24×7 basis. He said, Jammu North constituency has special significance as its some areas fall in urban belt, some in semi-urban and rural areas. All areas have their own needs and issues, which will be taken care of with the close coordination of concerned people, he asserted.
Addressing public gatherings in different wards of Jammu North constituency, Sham said that it is the endeavour of BJP to ensure peace, security, holistic development and to restore the honor of Dogra culture and its rich heritage that was undermined by the Kashmir centric polity for over seven decades. He assured that Dogra pride and its legacy will be protected at all costs and its pristine glory will be restored completely. Listing some areas of priority in Jammu North constituency, Sham said that immediately after the results of elections, he will formulate a comprehensible roadmap with the coordination of all stakeholders and fix the priority accordingly. The areas which he has already identified and will receive focused attention included, up-gradation of road connectivity (mains and links) with overcoming the problem of frequent traffic jams, uninterrupted power and water supply, developing sports infrastructure to engage the youth in various sports activities, up-gradation of health facilities and overall face-lifting of public parks and colonies, he noted.
Describing the on-going elections different and special from all previous ones, Sham said that people have got the opportunity of electing the representatives and government of their choice after a long gap of 10 years, that too under the Indian constitution and Indian flag after abolition of Article-370 in Jammu Kashmir. Previously all elections were being held under two constitutions and two flags, one from State and other from country. The current elections are also being fought between the nationalistic and anti-India and pro-Pak forces and people have to decide the fate of Jammu Kashmir. He urged the people to use their utmost wisdom while exercising their right of franchise and elect the leaders of credibility who can protect their futures and ensure peace, stability and prosperity, he asserted.
While seeking support for his candidature, Sham appealed to the people to vote for him to ensure his victory. He said it’s only BJP that can bring lasting peace and prosperity in Jammu Kashmir with the power of a double engine, and people must not lose this golden opportunity. Electing BJP means electing Dogra Hindu Chief Minister, securing the bright future of the coming generations and protecting the honor and glory of Dogras, he added.
