THANNAMANDI: Shaheed Manjit Singh Club Poonch lifted Sardar Perwaiz Memorial Volleyball trophy defeating Baba Club Thannamandi in the final played here on Monday. The tournament was organised by the Committee of prominent persons of the town.
The final match was presided over by Ifthkar Talib, Sub Divisional Police Officer (SDPO) Thannamandi and 2ic 38 RR who gave away prizes to winner and runner up teams.
Winner Shaheed Manjeet Singh Volleyball Club Poonch was awarded with a cash prize of Rs 8,000 and a trophy.
Prominent citizens who participated in closing ceremony include Bashir Ahmed Wani, Mushtaq Ahmed Thaker, Advocate Arshad Samyal and Shamim Ahmed Mugal. Chairman of the
winner Club, Tariq Khan appreciated the effort of organisers for conducting tournament successfully.
