SRINAGAR: Mohammad Ashraf Qureshi, uncle of Deputy Director News, Doordarshan, Srinagar Shafiq Ahmed Qureshi passed away here today after a brief illness.
The deceased was well known teacher with command over Persian and Arabic languages. He had translated Tarikh-i-Hassan into Urdu language. He was also a prolific writer besides being active in many social activities
Media fraternity have condoled the demise of Qureshi and conveyed their sympathies with Shafiq Qureshi.
Director Information, Tasaduq Jeelani, Deputy Director Information (PR), Peerzada Zahoor and other officers and officials of Department have expressed their sympathies with Shafiq Qureshi and prayed for the departed soul.
