SGPC seeks CM’s intervention in Punjabi teachers’ appointments

JAMMU: A deputation of State Gurdawara Prabhandak Committee (SGPC) on Thursday sought intervention of Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti in appointment of more Punjabi teachers
in schools and more
job opportunities to the members of Sikh community.
The SGPC was one of several deputations which called on CM on Thursday to apprise her of their demands and problems.
The deputations included representatives of Toll Contractors Association, Management of Presentation Convent School, KPS officers’ delegation, newly selected National Health Mission (NHM) nurses, Self Help Group of engineers, engineers from J&K employed in Konkan Railways, Other Backward Classes and a deputation from Wachi.
The CM listened to the demands of the deputations and assured them that appropriate action would be taken on the issues raised by them.
