SRINAGAR: Criticising the State Government for not taking care of the Sikh victims of the militancy in Tral, Kashmir, the Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee Amritsar has announced Rs 1.00 lakh for kin of Tarandeep Kour, who was killed and Rs 20,000 to one injured person at Tral during grenade attack on September 20, 2017.
The delegation of SGPC led by Bhai Swaran Singh Incharge Sikh Mission Jammu and Kashmir and Taranjeet Singh reached the village of victims in Tral and interacted with the Sikh organisations on the occasion of the Tenth Day of Tarandeep Kour and read out the condolence message on behalf of SGPC Amritsar President Kirpal Singh Bandugar.
During interaction, the delegation came to know that the State Government has not taken care of the Sikh victims till date. They said that the Government’s silence in this tragic episode has circulated a wave of disappointment among Sikh masses in Kashmir.
The delegation appealed to the Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti to look into the case and release the due compensation in favour of the victims of grenade victims to boost the confidence of Sikh masses in Kashmir.
