Seven injured in group clash in Mendhar

MENDHAR : Seven persons were injured in a group clash in village Harni Gursai on Sunday.
According to reports two groups of villagers belonging to two different sections of PDP and Congress clashed in village Harni under Police Station Gursai, Mendhar leaving back seven persons injured. The clash which was initially confirmed between PDP activist Shabir Khan and Congress activist Ashiq Hussain later involved their family members as well.
Seven injured were identified as Shabir Khan and Sarfraz Khan both sons of Mir Ullah Khan, Shazia Kouser wife of Manir Hussain, Daod Mirza, Zahoor Mirza both sons of Ashiq Hussain, Ashiq Hussain son of Faiz Mohd and her daughter Firdos Kouser.
Shabir Khan whose condition was critical, was evacuated to Government Medical College Hospital Jammu while the other three namely Daod Mirza, Zahoor Mirza and Ashiq Hussain have been referred to District Hospital Rajouri. Shazia Kouser and Sarfraz have been admitted in the Mendhar Hospital while Firdos Kouser has been discharged after providing first aid.
The Gursai Police have registered the case for investigation.
