Senior Cong leader goes missing

KATHUA: Manohar Singh, a senior Congress leader who worked in the party at different posts for the last 50 years, went missing from his house at Kathua on the morning of 8th May, 2015.
An FIR has been lodged in the Police Station Kathua and the message has been flashed by the police throughout. A cash reward of rupees one lakh has been announced by the citizens for the person giving his clue.
According to reports Manohar Singh former Kathua Block President of Congress, Youth President, Member of PCC, State Secretary, President NGO Sub Ras Sangam, President New Hope Trust and an eminent person of the district Kathua finished his breakfast, left his ATM card, gold rings and mobile cell, and left the house at 8:30 AM on 8th May, 2015 without disclosing anything and has not returned till date. He was very simple, gentle and honest member of the party.
He was wearing while Kurta and Pyjama as usual and was last seen at Lakhanpur boarding a Jalandhar based bus. A co-passenger disclosed that he was not in the bus when he tried to find him out at Mukerian Bus Stop.
He was a very staunch worker of Congress party and worked at different posts during his 50 years of political career. He always had a post in the party but presently he was totally ignored by the party for which he had expressed his unhappiness during Congress Rally at Kathua. His disappearance was brought to the notice of former Chief Minister of State Ghulam Nabi Azad.
A large number of eminent persons of Kathua including Dr A.K Gupta, Dr Hardev Gupta, Senior Adv Bharat Bhushan Mahajan, Medical Employees Association President Kartar Verma, National Conference leader Ravinder Salathia, Distt President Congress Subash Gupta, Paramjit Singh, Pankaj Dogra, Tarseme Gupta, Adv Sushil Gupta, Manohar Sharma, Sardari Lal Sangra and many others visited his house. They decided to give a reward of Rupees lakh to the person giving information or any clue about him.
