Senior citizens accord warm send off to J.S Johar

POONCH: The senior citizens, Advocates, religious organizations and prominent persons of District Poonch accorded a warm send off to the outgoing SSP Poonch J. S Johar on Saturday. The function was organised in the Shiv Community Hall,
While addressing a big gathering, Senior Advocate Rajinder Singh said that during the long period of two and a half years of his stay in the border district of Poonch which is most vulnerable to the nefarious designs of the neighbouiring country, the district remained peaceful. He said that the crime rate and corruption had drastically reduced and the communal harmony and tranquility among the communities prevailed under his able supervision. His role in the during the recent terrorist attack remained highly commendable for which he was accordingly awarded.
Prominent among those present on the occasion included Principal (Retd) Shamboo Nath Khajuria, CEO (Retd) K.K Kapoor, General Secy District Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee Rajinder Singh, Chairman Guru Ram Dass Seva Society, Anmol Singh, President Surjit Singh Dy SP (Retd), Balbir Singh, Senior Member Sanatan Dharam Sabha Romesh Bali, Harbhajan Singh, Taj Mir, Ch Abdul Gani, Prof Degree college Shameem Banday, Tariq Khan, Principal (Retd) J.S Awal, Senior Lectrure Mandhir Singh, Paramjit Singh President AISSF, Gen Secy Dashnami Akhara Rinku Sharma and many others.
In yet another function at Gurdwara Sant Bhai Rocha Singh Purani Poonch, Ram Dass Seva Society, under its Chairman Anmol Singh and Gurdwara President Onkar Singh gave him a Saropaov.
SSP Jatinder Singh in his address thanked the people of Poonch, particularly the youth who gave him full cooperation during his stay and also for the honour during this send off.
