Senior Citizen Services Supports Club Chawadi organises programme for promotion of Dogri Language

JAMMU: Senior Citizen Services Supports Club Chawadi organized a programme for the promotion of Dogri Language on Wednesday in collaboration with different schools.
More than ten schools participated in this programme which include Modern Public High School, ASN Hr. Sec. School, NaveenShiksha Kender, Himmant Learning Field High School, United Public High School, JS Luthra Academy, all are from Channi Himmat, Jammu Public School Sainik Colony, Tiny Tots Hr. Sec. School Sainik Colony, Cooperative Public School Marble Market. The students raised the slogans Dogri Hamari Mater Bhasha Hai, it is proud to adopt Dogri language and it should be implemented at all levels so that, we can save dying Dogra culture as well as Dogri language since it is our mother tongue.
Ashok Gupta President of the Club, welcomed and thanked themanagement, staff members and especially the students who took actively participation for the promotion of Dogri language and makes it a successful programme. He dwelled about the significance of this day. Dr. Kasturi Lal Gupta Founder and Chairperson of the Club, took the imitative for organizing this programme and elaborated the main objectives and themeof today’s programme for the promotion of Dogri Language.
He encouraged the students and management of Schools to speak Dogri from home itself and all public placesas charity begins at home so that, we can feel proud it.
Maj.Gen. S.K.Sharma, AVSM, Gen. Secretary conveyed about the initiatives and activities in detailed took by the club from time to timefor the promotion of Dogri language. The Principals and Management of Schools expressed their views and assured full cooperation and supportfor the promotion of Dogri language since it is our recognition and identity.
The club is conducting a series of programmes and organized one ofa mega programme on the day of international mother language day for the implementation of the Dogri language.
Prominent citizens and dignitaries from various segments have participated and appreciated the efforts and initiatives taken by management of this Club to save the Dogra culture and Dogri language.
Prominent dignitaries who attended programme include H. C Vaid (Finance Secretary), Dr. Vijay Sharma (Media Adviser), Sureinsh Jain Yoga Commissioner, Abhinandan Jain, Ashok Khajuria, Suresh Dogra, Vijay Gupta, Ashok Gupta (Bank), Anju Bansal and also prominent citizens of different fields of the society.
