Self defence training camp for girls inaugurated

KATHUA: District Police Kathua has organised ninth self defence training module for young girls at Bhartiya Public School Jakhbar in Nagri. The training is being held under the supervision of SSP Kathua, Neeva Jain. About 300 girl students from 10 institutions are participating in this module.
The camp was inaugurated by Principal of the School in presence of Sarpanch Jakhbar, Arun Kumar Sharma Chairman Jagdamba College of Management and Technology Jakhbar, Advocate Narayan Singh, staff members of different institutions, SI Sanjeevan Jyoti and the Coordinator of the Self Defence Training DySP (Pros.) Rakesh Sambyal.
The resource persons namely Suraj Bhagat, Gursharan, Manisha, Tara, Robina, Rutanjli, Palak Bhargav, Rajni and Hemlata gave demonstrations.
It is pertinent to mention here that the training module shall aware all the participants about legal provision related to crime against women and make them capable to use techniques like pepper spray, Nanchak, etc for their self defence.
