Seerat-un-Nabi Conference held

JAMMU: A day-long Seerat-un-Nabi Conference was held here at Central Eid- Gah Residency Road on Sunday under the banner of Anjuman- Islah-Ul-Muslimeen, Jammu.
The programme was spread over three sessions. The first session was presided over by Naib Mohtamim Jamia Zia-Ul-Uloom, Poonch, Maulana Syed Ahmed Habib. Mufti Mohammad Anwar Khan from Bombay and Maulana Syed Arshad Nadvi from Srinagar participated in the second session.
The programme started with recitation of Holy Quran by Qari Farooq Ahmed followed by Naat by Maulana Noor Din Qasmi. The key-note address was delivered by Maulana Safdar Baqiri, a faculty of Jamiat-ul-Muntazir, Nowgama Sadat, District Amroha (UP).
Maulana Safdar Hussain Baqiri delivered a thought provoking discourse on the teaching and life of Prophet Mohammad.
Another Speaker Maulana Abdul Subhan Batkali Nadvi who is a faculty member of Zia-Ul-Uloom, Maidanpur Takia Raibarily (U.P), in his speech, said that this is the high time to highlight the multifarious aspects of the life of Prophet Mohammad.
“Prophet of Islam came with the message to bring peace, love and affection amongst human beings and to establish their relationship with their creator,” he emphasised.
The presidential address was given by Maulana Syed Ahmed Habib. He hoped that such programme would bring change in our thoughts and actions. Speaker J&K Assembly, Kavinder Gupta, Ex- Minister Gulchain Singh Charak and MLA Jammu East Rajesh Gupta were also present. The proceedings were conducted by H.A Siddiqui, Advocate.
