SRINAGAR: Secretary Housing and Urban Development Department (HUDD) on Monday visited South Kashmir to assess the damage caused to the infrastructure of Municipal Institutions there. Besides having meetings with the officers of the department at Anantnag and Kulgam districts, he visited Municipal Institutions at Bijbehara, Awantipora and Pampore. The tentative losses have been estimated at Rs. 15.15 crores.
He impressed upon the Municipal Institutions to complete the removal of reaming garbage and ensure proper sanitation and spraying of disinfectants. He also asked the concerned officers to utilise all available resources so that the affected areas are cleaned within the shortest possible time.
