SRINAGAR: State Sports Association meeting was held here at Bakshi Stadium, Srinagar on Monday under the Chairmanship of Secretary, Sports Council. In the meeting, the Sports Association put with their views regarding uplift of sports activities.
On this occasion, the concerned Secretary assured the association that steps would be taken for providing playing facilities in all districts of the State and existing infrastructure will be maintained and improved. He also assured them in the meeting that grant-in-aid shall be made available from the budget allocation for sports activities.
The Secretary directed the association to take proper care of sports persons in respect of transparency in selection process. He asked the Association to utilize infrastructure for sports activities. He also said that an Observer for Sports Council will be deputed for monitoring the section process of the State teams representing in National/Zonal level competitions.
