SRINAGAR: Secretary Khadi and Village Industry Board Mir Afroz on Tuesday paid surprise visit to district Village and Industries Board office Pulwama. He reviewed the functioning of the office and exhorted upon the concerned functionaries to work with zeal and dedication for the uplift of rural artisans. He directed concerned to achieve the targets of the current fiscal well in time. He also called for organizing awareness camps to acquaint the rural masses about the programmes and schemes of the Board.
The Secretary also inspected various sections of the office, interacted with the field staff and listened to their problems. He assured the officials that all their genuine demands would be mitigated well in time.
While inspecting the office, the Secretary found three officials including Junior Assistant Mehran Nissa, orderlies Sujad Hussain Bhat and Sayima Nazir absent from duty and kept them under suspension.
Meanwhile, the Secretary chaired district officers meeting of KVIB Kashmir Division at Aharbal. He reviewed the physical and financial achievements registered by these offices during current fiscal so far. He directed concerned officers to achieve the physical and financial targets well in time.
The Deputy Chief Executive Officer, Rashid Ahmad Qadri on the occasion, gave a power point presentation on physical and financial achievements of the division and also highlighted the achievements registered under the different schemes by the Board in Kashmir division.
