JAMMU: Organised by Jammu and Kashmir Wushu Association, Second Sanda Cup Wushu Championship began at MA Stadium, here on Thursday.
Around 650 boys and girls drawn from 13 districts are taking part in this three-day competition, a handout issued by the association disclosed.
The competition was declared open by President of the Association, H.K Lohia while member BCCI Ranjeet Kalra presided. Vijay Saraf and Deepak Handa were Guests of Honour.
Earlier, Deepak Handa welcomed the Chief Guest and other distinguished gathering at the inaugural function. All the winners in the lower age groups on the opening day were from Jammu District.
The results: BOYS: Five-year: 12 kg: Aman Sheikh, Ist; Pandurang Patil, 2nd; Asad Mohd and Ansh, joint 3rd. 18 kg: Harshit Manhas, Ist; Vansh Nagotra, 2nd; Shivain Bajwa and Sudhir, joint 3rd. 15 kg: Tsering Namgyal, Ist; Meharjot Singh, 2nd; Kavya Sharma and Hasmeet Singh, joint 3rd. 20 kg: Vikas, Ist; Saksham, 2nd; Aryan and Yuvraj, joint 3rd. 24 kg: Sadanshu Choudhary, Ist; Shivam, 2nd; Priyanshu Raj and Dev Walia, joint 3rd.
Seven-year: 32 kg: Satyam Singh, Ist; Mohd Rayyan, 2nd; Saquib and Ridhan, joint 3rd. 28 kg: Irfan, Ist; Gurtaz Singh, 2nd; Sukhwinder Singh and Keshav, joint 3rd. 15 kg: Aakarshit Nanda, Ist; Vasu Sharma, 2nd; Shubam Gupta and Mohd Aryan, joint 3rd.
