JAMMU: Col RN Chopra Cricket Academy defeated RRL High School by 23 runs in the league match of Second Col RN Chopra Challenge under-16 Cup 2014-15, played at IIIM CSIR Ground, here on Sunday. RRL won the toss and elected to field first.
Bating first, Col R N Chopra Cricket Academy made a challengeable total of 176 runs for the loss of six wickets in 20 overs. Agreeney Happa with his brilliant batting performance smashed not out knock of 62 runs while Harsh Dev Singh and Aditya Chib contributed 32 and 16 runs respectively to the total. For RRL School, Mavneek, Daksh, Sumit and Hardik took one wicket each.
In reply, RRL School, despite well played 50-run inning of Daksh, failed to chase the target and made 154 run for the loss of five wickets in 20 overs. Hrithik Sharma and Hardik also added 34 and 22 runs respectively.
For Col R N Chopra Cricket Academy, Abhishek Abrol clinched two wickets while Aditya Chib, Marutwan and Ayush Slathia shared one wicket each. The match was officiated by Sukomal Ganguly and Akash.
