SDRF rescues 3 from Tawi flash flood

JAMMU: State Disaster Response Force (SDRF) team on Saturday rescued three persons stranded in River Tawi with the help of a helicopter. As per the reports, due to sudden flood in River Tawi one tractor and three persons were stranded and were failed to come out from the heavy flow of water in the river. Police called the SDRF team and rescued all the three persons. The persons rescued have been identified as Parveen Kumar, son of Jaggar Nath, resident of Sure Chak Phalain Mandal; Sikander Kumar, son of Jaggar Nath, resident of Sure Chak Phalain Mandal and Ghara, son of Des Raj, resident of Ram Bagh Kullian, Phalain Mandal. The operation was conducted by Sub Inspector Ranjeet Singh Rao along with Nafri of Police Post Belicharana under the supervision of SHO Police Station Satwari Inspector Manjeet Singh, SDPO South Sachin Gupta and SP South Shazad Salaria under the overall supervision of SSP Jammu, Sunil Gupta.
