JAMMU: A free Mega ISM (Ayush) Medical Aid camp for the flood affected residents of Pallanwala Block Sub-Division Khour was inaugurated by Sub Divisional Magistrate, Khour, Rakesh Kumar Bhagat.
Sarpanch Tarsem Singh Panchyat Halqa H.P Sider, Sarpanch Naseeb Singh Panchyat Halqa Pangali, Sarpanch Sukhdev Raj Panchyat Halqa Sainth and Sarpanch Tarsem Singh Panchyat Halqa Derian were also present on the occasion.
The camp was organised by the Director of Indian System Medicine (Ayush) in collaboration with PRIs of areas in which 1,137 patients were examined and treated by doctors of various fields through Aurvedic, Yog, Uanani, Homeopathy, Pachkarma Therapy, Kshar-Sootra. The doctors also educated the people about water borne diseases.
During the camp, School Health Check-up was also conducted at Government High School HP Sider and the students were provided free ISM (AYUSH) Medicines.
While addressing the gathering, SDM emphasised the relevance of ISM (AYUSH) medicines for keeping the body and mind fit and fine in the present time.
Dr. Davender Kumar Gupta Assistant District Medical Officer ISM (AYUSH) Jammu was also present in the camp. Dr Davender along with ADMO Jammu visited and inspected each unit of this free Mega ISM (AYUSH) Camp viz. Aurvedic, Kshar-Sootra, Pachkarma, Yog, check-up, Dispensing Unit.
Prominent among others who visited the camp were Sarpanches and Panches, Senior citizen, Women, Girls, Boys, Head Master Pawan Kumar, Dr. Anil Raina District, Coordinator IEC Jammu, Dr. Sangeeta Mahajan Block Coordinator IEC Palanwala and Dr. Ravi Dutt IEC Block Coordinator Akhnoor.
