Scouts and Guides Camp concludes at National Model Academy

JAMMU: To instill the basic qualities and moral values amongst the youngsters, five-day Scouts and Guides Camp organised at National Model Academy, Kail Paldhai which concluded on Tuesday. Around 110 Scouts and Guides under the banner of Hindustan Scout and Guide attended the camp.
Principle of the Academy, Raj Rani Rajput highlighted the importance of Scout and Guide as part of non-formal education.
The students participated in lots of fun filled learning activities during camp. They were trained about the history of scouting, movement and law promises, knowledge of petrol signaling, first aid health rules, typing of knots, flag song, sign language, trekking and cooking with the guidance of their guide captains and scout master Sameer Choughan and Mohd Kashif from Uttar Pradesh and Mohd Maqbool, the National Training Commissioner.
Tehsildar Majalta Ved Parkash was the Chief Guest and Mohd Maqbool National Training Commissioner Hindustan Scout and Guide was the Guest of Honour on this occasion.
The Chief Guest appreciated the students for their hard work. Ten Scouts and Guides are selected for national camp at Haryana and ten Scout and Guides are selected to meet President at Rashtrapati Bhawan, New Delhi on 14th November from National Model Academy.
Administrator Officer Dr Neeraj Kesar congratulated the selected students and thanked the trainers, staff and students for the successful completion of the camp.
Tr Ranjeet Singh, Jaiadeep Bhardwaz, Anu Devi, Arti Rajput, Shalu Rani, Darshana Devi, Mulkh Raj, Arti Devi, Rani Devi, Ritu Devi, Sunita Devi and Meena Devi were also present.
